On the senior representative questionaire, I told my entrants to "describe their style." I had not yet met Becca in person, but knew her answer to this question was, "Relaxed, casual, sporty and country-chic." When Becca stepped around from her mother's car, I laid my eyes on this beauty in her lace asymmetical dress in one of the most gorgeous colors of coral, paired with her jean jacket and super cute little ankle boots... country-chic for SURE!!! And that bright beautiful color matches this sweet girl's disposition!! An absolute doll!
Becca is representing all those kids who are brave enough to not only have their parents as well, parents, but to have them as TEACHERS as well!! ;) And she absolutely loves it. Can you imagine having your favorite teacher be your DAD?! How cool is that?! And a special thank you to Mr. Turner for letting Becca out of class yesterday morning for a photoshoot! What other teacher would allow that?!
I was delighted to find out that Becca is best friends with Ally, my rep from North Oldham! Small world! And just like Ally, I managed to choose another beautiful young girl who has values and compassion beyond most adults. Becca's insight on pet peeves, "when people, in general, think they are better than others by how they look, how much money they have, where they live and their personalities. God created us to all be equal." Dang. When was the last time I took advice from an 18 year old?! I should. Beautiful.
Becca is the setter for her volleyball team. Now, I played volleyball for one year in middle school. I was on junior varsity, sat most of the time on the bench and at the rare treat of getting to play, I usually ran in the other direction of the ball. Volleyball is hard!! And it HURTS!! And how they serve that ball overhanded with such force amazes me. Way to go Becca!!!
One of Becca's favorite places to hang out is Norton Commons and I'm sure with her love of photography she brings it along to capture all the fabulous achitecture which abounds in that neighborhood! And both my reps so far love photography! Gotta love those artsy girls!! But instead of Norton Commons, Becca, her Mom Lisa and I took a little trip to the quaint town of LaGrange. The main street of this little town is lined with little boutiques, bistros, and antique stores, but all this is certainly not to be outdone by the active railroad tracks that run right through smack dab in the middle of the street.
And with those railroad tracks and a cool, hazy morning, what else is there to do than sit right down on them? And with a vintage suitcase, that's exactly what we did.
We chitty chatted about her fabulous little black and pearl necklace and how she absolutely adores her sister. Becca and I were lost in girly picture land when Mama from the sidelines called out that she heard a train whistle. Sure enough! There in the distance was the light and I knew we only had a few more minutes left available on the tracks!! I decided to use one of said minutes to ponder if I had enough time to safely finish my poses on the tracks before getting run over... and spent the next couple minutes actually shooting those poses as Mama kept a watchful eye on the approaching train! We could FEEL the rumbling in the tracks!
Now, now, I never once had this sweet thing in any danger. We hopped off the train tracks and had time to set up for this super cool shot as the train whizzed past behind her. What a perfect photo opportunity.
I had a wonderful time spending my morning with Becca. She is just a doll and has the most beautiful skin and dark hair! Not to mention I wanted to pocket her necklace... but I refrained. ;)
Thank you Becca for representing Mia Bella Photography!! And if you know sweet Becca, make sure you ask her for one of her REP CARDS!!! She will have them in just a couple weeks ready to share and that little card when turned in to me at the time of your senior shoot, will get you 15% off your session fee!
All the best to you Becca!!
