Mia Bella Photography began as a celebration and honor for our own young daughter, Mia. Having desired a baby for so long, after she was here it became overwhelmingly apparent to me how important these new little lives are and how quickly they grow and change.
My journey as a photographer began in front of my mother’s lens. A time spent together, just the two of us, watching her capture every milestone of my life. And while I didn’t understand it then, I do now. My mother looks back at those photographs of me swaddled in the lightest pink and I can see that they are irreplaceable treasures. It’s so very important to remember those first days.
I absolutely love photographing newborns. The Mom in me, with a quickly growing 9 year old, relishes in the opportunity to snuggle and rock your sweet baby to sleep. Loving and caring for your newest gift, keeping them warm and safe during our time together, and letting you relax is my most important job.
My style is light and airy using color and textures to accentuate the softness and simplicity of new baby’s skin. I add some whimsy with tiny babies in baskets, little girls with flowers in their hair and the most dapper of hats for the boys.
